A message from our parents...
In all neighborhoods, we have dreams for our children. For some of us our lives changed, when a newborn arrived too early, a toddler suffered brain damage after nearly drowning, or when our teenager became paralyzed in a car accident. We are the parents of medically fragile children. We invite you to support O'Hana.
Our Home:

Whom Would This Home Serve?

A Rosie Place provides skilled nursing care for medically fragile children from birth to 21 years:

  • with birth defects/genetic disorders, complications of prematurity, brain and spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, seizure disorder and a variety of medical conditions.

  • with life-sustaining equipment such as feeding tubes, tracheotomies, mechanical ventilators and supplemental oxegen.

  • who need skilled nurses to deliver the complex medical care that is required to insure their health and safety.

  • who reside in the state of Indiana (serving all 92 counties)
Children residing outside of Indiana will be considered on a case by case basis.

  • For more information call A Rosie Place at 574.235.8899 or email info@4Rosie.org.

    Services for the whole family

    For Medically Fragile Children:

A Rosie Place is a safe, nurturing and technologically competant environment with
skilled nursing care. The children will experience social contact with other children
and volunteers in our nature inspired home-away-from-home.

    For the Family:

The purpose of A Rosie Place is to provide support through specialized care for their medically fragile child to allow periods of relief from the demand of twenty-four hour care. Families are empowered at A Rosie Place through additional services such as:

Opportunities for families to connect with one another is a supportive central location.

A resource library with access to the latest information trends and advancements
    in pediatric medical care.

Specialized training on how to care for their fragile child during the transition from
    the hospital to their home.

For many medically fragile children, the contribution by family members towards their care is greatly diminished as a result of the complexity of the care required. This home, a first for the State of Indiana, has been completed and is working on coordinating with the State of Indiana to secure our operating license so we can begin serving medically fragile children. We will serve children between the ages of birth and 21 years for weekend respite care services. Licensed nurses will provide staffing. Service hours will expand as the needs require.

    Our Rosie Sign

A Unique Home Away From Home

The home is designed to accommodate the required state-of-the-art medical technology so that families can leave their child in order to regroup, get some rest, focus on their marriage, spend quality time with their other children, reconnect with friends or take a vacation.
